Job Description:
The Elk West Village is hiring for an EXPERIENCED LINE COOK. The right candidate interested in this position should have at least 2 years of experience in high volume establishments working on the line, the ability to read tickets, can maintain speed and efficiency in preparing to go orders while upholding quality on all dishes and cleanliness in the workplace.

This is a FULL TIME position, 40 HOURS per week.
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH shift 8am-4pm.
Weekend Availability is a must.
Days OFF ARE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY/ Dias libre son MARTES Y MIERCOLES
Responsibilities and Duties:
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
-Must be able to read and understand food ticket orders in English/ Tienes que leer y comprender ticketas en Ingles
-Punctuality for all scheduled shifts/ tienes que ser punctual
-Must be clean and tidy/debe estar limpio y ordenado
-Strong Burrito/ Wrapping skills a few of our menu items are on tortilla/habilidades fuerte de envolver tortillas/burritos
-Opening and set up of food prep station in a timely manner/prepara tu estación y abre la cocina a tiempo
-Preparing and packaging dishes from Café Menu with correct presentation/ preparar y empacar platos del menú con buena presentación
-Maintaining DOH requirements for food/refrigeration and continuously checking the quality of ingredients/ Mantener y seguir los requisitos del Departamento para alimentos y refrigeración
-Strong communication with the lead line cook, kitchen manager and prep leads/tienes que tener fuerte comunicación con el cocinero principal, gerente de la cocina y el equipo de preparación
-Working in all kitchen stations as needed for the day
Our menu encompasses a variety of cultural influences, with only the freshest ingredients utilized in each dish.
